In order to be eligible to vote on primary election day, February 2, 2009, you must register no later than Tuesday January 5, 2009.

 

There are 3 qualifications to register to vote:

 

1) You must be a U.S. Citizen

2) You must be 18 years old by election day

3) You must be a resident of your precinct 30 days before an election

To register to vote in the City of Chicago you must:


1)  Be a United States citizen.

2)  Be at least 18 years old on or before the next election.

3)  Live in your election precinct at least 30 days before the next election.

4)  Not be convicted and in jail.

5)  Not claim the right to vote anywhere else.
